This is the best therapy. A few close friends huddled around an open fire, sharing in laughter and tears. Confiding in each other about their personal struggles, hardships and losses, adventures and gains. Reminiscing about the good ol’ days, those “Do you remember the time we… ” are the moments that make life worth living.
There’s something about sitting around a campfire with close friends that just fosters bonding and deep conversation. Maybe it’s the flickering flames that create a sense of intimacy or the fact that there’s nowhere else to go and no one else to talk to. Either way, sharing stories around the fire is some of the best therapy there is.
When you’re camping with friends, you’re forced to spend long periods in each other’s company, which definitely has its benefits. You get to know each other on a much deeper level, and you develop a closeness that can last a lifetime. And when you do finally make it back to the “real world,” those shared experiences will be some of your best memories.
So light a fire, grab some marshmallows, and enjoy the company of your closest friends. It’s sure to be a night you’ll never forget.
