The Best Moments of My Life Don’t Make it to Social Media

It’s easy to get caught up in the highlight reel of everyone else’s life on social media. But the truth is, the best moments of our lives don’t always make it onto our feeds. Here are some of the things that I’ve experienced that never made it online.

The time I ran into an ex, we had an unexpectedly friendly conversation. We caught up on old times and wished each other well. It was nice to see that we could still be cordial after everything that had happened.

One of the best moments of my life

Was when I got my first car. It was a beat-up old thing but I loved it. I remember driving around with the windows down, feeling the wind in my hair, and singing at the top of my lungs. I didn’t care that people were looking at me funny; I was happy. That car represented freedom to me. It was a symbol of everything good in my life. Whenever something went wrong, I would get in my car and just drive. I didn’t have a destination in mind; I would just go. And for a little while, everything would be alright.

Another time, I made an amazing dish completely by accident. I was trying a new recipe and totally bombed it. But through some culinary miracle, the dish turned out delicious. Everyone raved about it and begged me for the recipe. But I could never recreate it again, no matter how hard I tried…

And lastly, that vacation where (he who won’t be named) stepped on a sea urchin. The needles were stuck between his toes, and was pleading for someone to pee on his foot because the pain was so excruciating.

Why Do People Post on Social Media? (Keep The Best Stuff For Yourself)

There’s something about social media that can make even the most private person feel like they need to share everything about their life with the world. And while it’s great to be able to connect with friends and family all over the globe with just a few clicks. Sometimes you just want to keep the best stuff for yourself.

I think we can all agree that some of the best moments in life are the ones we keep to ourselves. Maybe it’s something as simple as a sunset walk on the beach or a quiet night spent stargazing. Or maybe it’s something more momentous, like hearing your favourite song on the radio or getting a well-deserved promotion at work. Whatever it is, these are the moments that make us feel alive, and they’re often the ones that we cherish the most.

That’s not to say that you shouldn’t share any of the good stuff on social media – after all, what’s the point of having those amazing moments if you can’t brag about them a little bit? – but maybe some things are just too special to post online. Maybe there are some things that you want to keep close to your heart because they’re just for you and your loved ones.

And that’s okay! In fact, it’s more than okay – it’s perfectly natural. After all, not everything in life needs to be shared with the world. Sometimes, the best stuff is meant to be kept between you and those closest to you.
