Know Your Value

A father told his daughter, โ€œCongrats on your graduation. I bought you a car a while back. I want you to have it now.โ€

But before I give it to you, please take it to a car dealer in the city and sell it. See how much they offer.โ€

The girl came back to her father and said: โ€œThey offered me 10,000 dollars because it looks like a classicโ€
The father said, โ€œOk, now take it to the pawn shop.โ€

know your value,

The girl returned to her father and said: โ€œThe pawn shop offered 1,000 dollars because itโ€™s a classic car and needs a lot of work doneโ€.

The father then told her to join a passionate car club with experts and show them the car.

The girl drove to the passionate car club.

After a few hours, she returned to her father and told him, โ€œSome people in the club offered me $100k because itโ€™s a rare car in good condition.โ€

Then the father said, โ€œI wanted to let you know that you are not worth anything if you are not in the right place. If you are not appreciated, do not be angry, that means you are in the wrong place. Donโ€™t stay in a place where no one sees your value .โ€

The moral of the story :

Know your worth and know where you are valued. A diamond doesnโ€™t shine on the bottom of a cave.
