It’s been a long and difficult year. I’m not sure where to even begin. A lot has happened, and I’ve had to make some tough choices. I know I haven’t always made the right decision, but I did the best I could with the information I had at the time.
As I look back, there are a few things I would have done differently. But I also know that everything happens for a reason. All of my experiences – good and bad – have led me to this point in my life. And for that, I am grateful.
There are no guarantees in life. But whatever the future holds, know this: I did my best.
There have been many times this year when I haven’t known what to do. When the path ahead wasn’t clear, I just took a breath and put one foot in front of the other.
Sometimes, my best wasn’t good enough. But that’s okay. At least, I can say that I tried. And even when things didn’t go the way I wanted them to, I learned something from the experience.
In the face of uncertainty, we can either give up or keep going. This year, there were many times when it would have been easier to give up. But giving up is not an option for me. So instead, I got back up every time I was knocked down and kept moving forward.
So what does the future hold? Only time will tell. But whatever happens, know this: you did your best. And that is all anyone can ever ask of you.
